University Ombudsperson, Defender of the University
The University Ombudsman is the institutional body responsible for ensuring respect for the rights and freedoms of students in the actions of the various university bodies and services, and may assume the tasks of mediation, conciliation and good offices. Its actions will be governed by the principles of independence, autonomy and confidentiality.
The University Ombudsperson is appointed by the University's Board of Governors and intervenes in response to a request from a student who believes that his or her rights have been violated.

Basic Information on data protection
In accondance with the provisions of Article 13 of EU Regulation 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, we inform you that your data will become part of a file under the responsability of Mondragon Unibertsitatea, as well as the following
- Data Controller: Mondragon Unibertsitatea.
- Purpose of data processing: To deal with and monitor complaints, claims and requests for information and mediation submitted to the University Ombusdsperson by members of the University Community.
- Legitimisation of data processing: Compliance with a legal obligation applicable to data controller.
- Recipients of data transfers: Bodies, Services or staff of the University Community of Mondragon Unibertsitatea involved in the resolution of a case within the competence of the University Ombudsperson. Data will not be transferred to other third parties except as provided for by law.
- Rights: Access, rectify and delete data, as well as other rights, as explained in the additional information.
