Registration is now open for the course ‘Keys to the Mondragon Cooperative Experience,’ taught this year for the second time
The 75-hour course ‘Keys to the Mondragon Cooperative Experience’ will be offered online, and participants will have the opportunity to spend a week in the Basque Country.
The course Keys to the Mondragon Cooperative Experience will be offered online, in Spanish and English, by Mondragon University’s LANKI Institute of Co-operative Research. It is aimed at international students. The online course, which is being taught for the second time, will begin on February 11 and end on March 31. The visit to Arrasate will take place from March 31 to April 4 in Spanish, and from April 4 to April 11 in English.
In this course, you will learn about one of the most cutting-edge cooperative ecosystems in the world: the Mondragon Cooperative Experience. This socio-business project comprises more than 70,000 people, around 81 cooperatives, a university, and 12 R&D spaces.
The course, which is offered by the LANKI Institute of Co-operative Research, is aimed at international students who are interested in the Mondragon Cooperative Experience, as well as at teachers in various fields, researchers and cooperativists. This program is aimed at all those who are interested in research on cooperativism and at workers in the field of social economics, particularly students from outside the Basque Country; this is why the course is offered online, in Spanish and English.
Program
The online course will present concepts that are key to understanding the Mondragon Experience, including the concept of the cooperative, the historical evolution of the Mondragon Experience, and intercooperation.
The purpose of the visit to the Basque Country is for the students to become familiar with the Mondragon cooperatives first hand and to deepen their knowledge of this socio-business project. The visit is optional, and students who wish to take part must first complete the online course.
