The engineering students of Mondragon Unibertsitatea went to the university of ESTIA, in Bidart, to participate in the initiative where they obtained two prizes.
On April 3, the second year Bachelor students of the Degree in Energy Engineering and Green Manufacturing Engineering, the students of the Master's Degree in Business Innovation and Project Management and the international exchange students of the Galarreta campus participated in the activity 24 hours of innovation organized at ESTIA.
The activity was organized as a part of the annual conference of the EU4Dual project - The European Dual Studies University, where a total of 220 students from 9 European countries participated, responding to the challenges proposed by the 25 companies present at the activity.
The students had the opportunity to apply the learning by doing methodology in multidisciplinary working groups to respond to the proposal of the companies they chose. After nearly 7 hours of working on the challenges under time pressure and providing a feasible and sustainable solution to the companies, the students presented their work in 2 minutes in front of a jury. Of the 5 prizes, the students from Mondragon Goi-Eskola Politeknikoa won 2 prizes:
- Sustainability award: Irati Beobide, Naroa Conde, Garazi Etxeberria, Garazi Irigoras and Paula Romero students from Green Manufacturing Engineering with the work “Return to renew: inflate the future” to the proposal of the company Decathlon.
- Third prize: Gulmarzhan Marat, Sebnem Ozsen, Dilara Özyürek and Duru Zeybek Ilayda Exchange students with the work “Tomorrow’s managers” to the proposal of the company Aitzinaxago.
