10 representatives from a training program offered in the Colombian department of Cauca visit the Basque Country
Of the 40 women who participated in the course, 10 came on the training visit.
Ten women participating in the training program entitled Certification course in the Formulation and management of economic-productive projects from the social, solidarity and feminist economy offered by the University of Cauca in Colombia are visiting the Basque Country. A total of 40 women are taking the course. The following Colombian organizations took part in the design of the training program: Teaching for the Promotion of Political Culture and Political Organization, (Caucan feminist GKE), Institute of Intercultural Studies, Pontifical Xavierian University (Cali). The Basque organizations that participated include the HEGOA Institute of the University of the Basque Country and the LANKI Institute of Cooperative Research of Mondragon University. The preliminary design phase of this course was carried out on the Eskoriatza campus of Mondragon University.
The 10 women participating in the visit will be in the Basque Country from October 15 to October 29. The methodology of KoopFabrika was used for sessions that delved into social entrepreneurship. In addition, the participants will make several visits during their stay here to become familiar with various organizations based on transformative socio-productive initiatives, community education, cooperativism, feminism, LGBTQI+ and food sovereignty.
The Certification course in the Formulation and management of economic-productive projects from the social, solidarity and feminist economy will continue throughout the 2022-2023 academic year, with a model of alternation between Colombia and the Basque Country.
