Euskabea is working on the "E-SERVICE: Design of a New Advanced Service" project to advance toward digital transformation. To this end, the Gipuzkoa-based organization will have the support and assistance of the Diseinu Berrikuntza Zentroa (DBZ) of Mondragon University to implement service design throughout the project. This research project is supported by the "Program to promote the generation of opportunities, differential value, and sustainability of the business fabric of Gipuzkoa" of the Department of Economic Promotion and Strategic Projects of the Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa.
In the midst of the Industry 4.0 revolution, E-SERVICE, which is already moving toward a new 5.0 paradigm, seeks to provide industrial companies with advanced solutions based on digital servitization. As a result of this project, the company will contribute to the development of a new service based on condition monitoring technologies, aligning it with the diverse needs of the companies that make up Euskabea's extensive client portfolio. Furthermore, the project seeks to generate and consolidate competencies related to Service Design in SMEs in Gipuzkoa, thanks to the collaboration of these SMEs and the Diseinu Berrikuntza Zentroa of Mondragon University.
Finally, the project will serve to consolidate the relationship between Euskabea, a leading SME in Gipuzkoa, and the DBZ of Mondragon University, reflecting key alliances for the transfer of new advanced knowledge in Human-Centered Design and Service Design between SMEs and universities. The results will boost the competitiveness of the companies participating in the project and position Gipuzkoa as a benchmark in servitization and digital manufacturing through scientific publications and other disseminations based on the project's results and conclusions.
